WOMEN'S MINISTRY

The mission of the St. Michael Lutheran Church Women’s Fellowship Ministry is to nurture, uplift, educate, and encourage women’s spirits in service within our congregation, in the greater Portage and Kalamazoo area, and out into the world as messengers for Christ, in gratitude for the love first shown to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:12

Women’s Fellowship Ministry (WFM) works to meet the needs of our congregation and contributes to mission work all over the world, through a partnership with Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) and community outreach projects. Our events are open to all the women of St. Michael and the public with no dues or fees. Special freewill offerings are occasionally collected to pay speaker fees or mission project expenses.

Meetings include devotions, bible study, and programs focusing on worship enrichment, women’s issues, family life, environmental stewardship, community service, and education. Fellowship and sharing of time together strengthen the special bond that God has given us to nurture women’s spirits, to uplift one another, and encourage each other as we work together in service to Our Savior in joy and thanks.
