EXPLORE OUR LIBRARY
In agreement with Luther, we always are adding new books to the 7,500 choices already available in our library. Often not the sort found at a public library, the collection includes Lutheran-friendly titles from our denomination’s own Concordia Publishing House.
Visiting the Library
Everyone may use the library. There are books for all ages and interests.
The library has two entrances, the main one being in the school hallway across from the student restrooms. Another door faces in the Welcome Center to the left of the building entrance. Whenever this one is open, you know the library is staffed and welcoming visitors.
However, you also may borrow library materials whenever you are in the building. Simply follow the instructions posted at a tall table beneath the Self-Checkout Station sign.
Borrowing from the Library
- A library card is required to borrow books. All church members will have one; a library card is automatically issued for every household listed in the church directory.
- Library materials can be borrowed for two weeks. There are no late fees, but you will be charged the replacement value for any lost or badly damaged items.
- Up to 15 books can be borrowed per library card. If the church directory lists children at home, you may borrow more books. The limit is 25 per family.
- Return your borrowed materials at the circulation desk or by dropping them in the book return in the Welcome Center.
